Having lunch at Calafia Cafe with Ann Marie Brown, editor of Eucalyptus Magazine

Today is very special for me because I get to have lunch with Ann Marie Brown who is the editor of Eucalyptus Magazine. Ann Marie is an awesome and inspiring woman who comes to us with MANY (not allowed to tell how many) years of experience in the publishing industry, published 16+ books on travel and is an avid outdoors woman. I so much admire her and constantly learn from her. What a special day! Thanks, Ann Marie!

Supporting the American Heart Association

I am very proud that Eucalyptus Magazine is supporting the local chapter of the American Heart Association. Today I met with Maria Pappas who is responsible for organizing the Research Roundtable event which raises over $600,000 for research dedicated to heart disease. I hope to be able to help them even more in 2011 and beyond.

Talking with Dimas DeMello, distribution manager at Eucalyptus Magazine

I would like to introduce to you the most dedicated person on the Eucalyptus team. Dimas DeMello is out there every day, rain or shine 100F or 0F, delivering magazines, taking care of racks and talking with customers. I am so happy to have him because without him, it would be very hard to publish a successful magazine. His job is to get the magazine to the hands of readers, and he gets the job done! On Friday 5/14 I attended FountainBlue's When She Speaks, Women in Leadership event on the topic od Standing on the Shoulders of Mentors at Cisco Systems in San Jose. I really enjoyed the event and got reminded that no matter where we stand in life and business, we always need a mentor who can support us and help us get to the next level. On Thursday 5/13 I met with Sunny at Vegetarian House in San Jose. I had a delicious lunch and enjoyed our conversation about vegetarian and vegan diet. Vegetarian House is dedicated to providing high quality food that's good for us and the planet.
